BARC depends on our volunteers. We need people to help with walking the dogs, join our Dog Walking Team. Perhaps you could foster a dog until it is adopted. Help is always needed in taking them to the vets etc. Our Charity Shop is run by volunteers and we always need help. The events we organize are a major source of funding and any help is greatly appreciated.

Kittens needing homes
Ed
Ed is a Ginger Tom approximately 12 months old. Neutered and fully vaccinated, flea and worm treated etc. Ed has gone from a feral kitten to a lovely friendly boy. He’s not fond of being cuddled/handled but loves to be stroked. He will become more cuddly with time and attention.
Mr Pickles.
Black & white neutered male approximately 12/13 months old. Fully vaccinated and treated for worms & fleas.
Mr Pickles is friendly but doesn’t like too much contact. That would probably change in a home environment.
Sapphire.
She came to us having been recently neutered but grossly overweight. She had scans as she couldn’t walk and it appears she has some arthritis in her spine. She had to have her sterilization wound restitched as it opened up again, the vet thinks probably due to how fat she was. She has been on a strict diet and is losing weight and is now walking normally. She is a beautiful friendly girl. We will start her vaccination programme shortly. Approx 2.5yrs old.
Azul (white) & Simba (ginger)
Azul & Simba are 2 feral kittens approximately 4 months old. They are currently in a foster home being socialised and have just had their first vaccination. They were caught when we trapped their mum and had her sterilized so they are taking a while to socialize as they were older when taken in.
If you are Interested in adopting a kitten fill out the enquiry form HERE

BARC volunteers save a puppy who couldn’t walk and name him Gizmo.
Annie
Annie is one of our saddest cases, but with a happy ending. She was found in the road after suffering horrific abuse from being dragged behind a car. Her injuries included a fractured hip, raw injuries to her paws and toes and open wounds to the bare bones on her legs. BARC mounted a campaign to raise funds for her care and nurse her back to health. We raised 1200 euros. After 3 months Annie recovered from her injuries and was able to be re-homed.
BARC dogs who found their forever home………..
Other rescued animals………
Gertrude the goat
Gertrude was found wandering in the street with a deformed leg. BARC has taken her in and given her a home.
The three ducks Daisy (white) Donald (black with white head) and Daffy (with the dodgy wings). X
The Town Hall Busot collaborates with BARC to ensure maximum support.
Our Mayor Alejandro Morant, has organised a grant of 10000€ a year and the use of The Caves of Canelobre to hold our Fundraisers. We can use the Town Hall vehicles for other Fundraisers and other Town Hall land for various activities ie Car Boot/ Rastros, Dog shows/ adoption days.
The Cat Neutering programme is organised by the Town Hall, although our volunteers trap, transport and return the cats.
We work together to educate the people in animal welfare and the raising of income. Our annual expenses are in the region of 70,000 euros.
Without their support, this goal would be almost impossible.
